The Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) was established in 1984, to help improve the quality of life. The Cleveland Avenue Redevelopment area was established with the initial Cleveland Avenue CRA Plan. This Plan was created in 2010, with an update in 2016. The project team has been contracted to complete another Plan update, determining current and future needs of the Cleveland Avenue CRA area. The Cleveland Avenue CRA boundary is encompassed by mostly commercial development along the Cleveland Avenue corridor in Fort Myers.
